Every pair of dmodot shoes is handcrafted. We take that seriously — and if something is not right, we want to make it right. This policy explains how exchanges, returns, and shipping work, and what you can expect from us at every step.
This policy is supplementary to, and does not restrict, override, or limit, any rights available to you under applicable Indian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
1. Exchange Policy
Before placing your order, please refer to the size chart included in the product images. Each size chart is specific to that style's last shape and fit. We recommend checking it carefully before ordering to ensure the best fit.
We accept size exchange requests within 7 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
To be eligible for an exchange:

The request must be raised within 7 days of your delivery date

The product must be unworn, tried on indoors only, and in its original condition

All original packaging must be intact — box, dust bag, tags, and any inserts

Clear photographs of the soles must be shared when raising your request
Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If your size is unavailable, we will issue store credit for the full value of your order.
Clearance items and items discounted 40% or more are final sale and are outside the scope of this section — see Section 4.
Your first size exchange is free, anywhere in India. We arrange reverse pickup at no cost to you. If your pin code does not support reverse pickup, please ship via India Post or road transport and we will reimburse up to ₹300 on submission of your receipt.
Exception for sale items below the 40% threshold: reverse shipping charges are borne by the customer. Forward shipping on the replacement, limited to one time, is on us.
Once your return is received and passes quality check, your exchange is dispatched within 2–3 working days.
Once an exchange has been processed, the replacement pair is final. It is not eligible for a further exchange or return for any reason.

2. Returns & Refunds
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery under the same eligibility conditions as exchanges. To initiate a return, email returns@dmodot.com with your Order ID, reason for return, and clear photographs of the product and soles. All return requests are reviewed within 48–72 hours.
Does not apply to clearance/40%+ discount items or the other excluded categories in Section 4.
Once your return is approved and passes quality check, you may choose:
Store Credit (Recommended)
Your full order value is credited automatically as dmodot store credit, issued within 24 hours of quality check approval. Store credit never expires and applies to any future purchase. It is issued as a dmodot gift card; the code is sent to your registered email and can be applied at checkout on your next purchase.
Bank Refund (Full-price orders only)
Products purchased at a discount are eligible for store credit only — bank refunds are not available on discounted orders. For full-price orders, a flat restocking fee of ₹199 per pair is deducted from the refund amount. Once approved, your refund is processed to your original source account within 10–14 working days of quality check completion.
Cash on Delivery Orders
COD orders follow the same return and refund process as prepaid orders, subject to the same full-price/discounted-order distinction above. Store credit is issued within 24 hours of quality check approval. For bank refunds on eligible full-price COD orders, we will collect your bank account details / UPI ID to process the transfer directly, with the same ₹199 restocking fee applied.
Please allow up to 3–4 weeks from pickup for bank refunds to reflect in your account.
3. Conditions We Cannot Accept
We reserve the right to decline a return or exchange if the product:

Shows signs of outdoor use or wear

Has been damaged through misuse or improper care

Is returned without its original box, dust bag, or tags

Does not meet the 7-day return window

Was received as part of an exchange — exchange replacements are not eligible for return
In these cases, the product will be returned to you at your cost and no credit or refund will be issued.
4. Restricted or Excluded Categories
The categories below are either fully excluded from return and exchange, or eligible only on a limited basis as set out.
Clearance items and discounts of 40% or above — excluded (final sale)
Items marked as clearance, and any item purchased at a discount of 40% or more off its original listed price, are final sale. These are not eligible for return, exchange, store credit, or refund of any kind.
Custom and made-to-order footwear — excluded
Each custom pair is made specifically for you — from the design brief to the materials to the final construction. Because your approval is taken before production begins, custom orders are final once confirmed.
Special-order sizes, Men's collection only — limited eligibility
Sizes EU 46 and above and EU 39 and below within the Men's collection are produced on order. This applies only to the Men's collection and does not extend to any other line. These sizes qualify for a one-time size correction (exchange) only — they are not eligible for a return or refund. Bank refunds are not available for special-order sizes. If reverse pickup is unavailable at your pin code, we reimburse up to ₹300 on courier costs.
Accessories — excluded
Wallets, belts, care kits, and other accessories are not eligible for return or exchange.
Orders placed on third-party platforms — excluded
If your order was placed on Amazon, Myntra, or any other marketplace, please follow that platform's return policy. This policy applies to purchases made directly on dmodot.com only.
International orders — excluded.
Orders shipped outside India are final and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund on grounds of size, fit, or change of mind.
5. Defective or Incorrect Products
If you receive a product that is damaged or defective, please inform us within 24 hours of delivery to help us resolve it quickly.
Share an unboxing video and clear photographs of the issue. We will arrange a free replacement or issue a full refund — your choice — after verification. No deductions apply in cases of defect or incorrect dispatch.
dmodot reserves the right to reject any defect or replacement claim, and to decline further correspondence on that specific claim, where we determine it involves misuse, tampering, staged or self-inflicted damage, misrepresented photographs or video, or any other attempt at fraudulent or misleading representation. Confirmed or repeated attempts at fraudulent claims may result in forfeiture of eligibility for future defect claims on the account, and dmodot may pursue any other remedy available to it under law. This does not affect a customer’s right to escalate a genuine grievance to our Grievance Officer (Section 11).
6. Warranty
All dmodot footwear carries a 90-day warranty covering manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, water damage, damage from improper storage, or damage from misuse. If you are unsure whether your issue qualifies, email us and we will assess it honestly.
7. Cancellations
If your order has not yet been dispatched, you may cancel it by emailing info@dmodot.com with your Order ID.
If your order has already been dispatched, our standard return policy applies.
Custom orders cannot be cancelled once design sign-off and payment have been confirmed.
Cancellation refunds
If your order is cancelled before dispatch, the refund follows the same options, fees, and timelines as a standard return — see Section 2.
Address changes
You may update your delivery address within 24 hours of placing your order at no charge. Email info@dmodot.com with your Order ID and the updated address. Address changes cannot be accommodated once the order has been dispatched.
8. Shipping
Standard orders
All standard orders are handcrafted. Please allow 7–10 working days from order confirmation for your pair to be made and dispatched. Shipping is free, and estimated delivery is 5–7 working days after dispatch within India.
Express shipping
Available at ₹500 plus applicable taxes. Contact us by email before placing your order to confirm availability.
Custom orders
Dispatched within 3–4 weeks of payment confirmation and design sign-off. You will receive updates throughout the production process.
International orders
International customers can order directly on dmodot.com. Shipping is free; you are charged only for the product, billed in your local currency at checkout.
Delivery attempts
Our courier partners attempt delivery up to 3 times. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, the order will be returned to our warehouse.
We do not deliver to PO Boxes. One shipping address per order.
All prices on dmodot.com in India are inclusive of all taxes. No additional taxes are added at checkout.

12. Amendments & Governing Law
dmodot may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations or applicable law. The version in effect on the date of your order will govern that order, and any material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective reference.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.
