Our first ShBlog of the year is a quick update about the progress of our campaign - Soles for Souls.
Over two months ago, we asked you to donate used shoes, and so many of you got together in neighbourhoods, offices, and colleges to collect shoes. IndiGo Airlines chipped in by setting up donation boxes at their NCR offices.
We received 318 pairs in usable condition, mostly for adults. We reached out to Raju & Mukesh to help us clean them and repair 142 of them. They’ve been distributed to families, elderly beggars, traffic-signal salespeople on crossings and under flyovers around South Delhi, and we hope to continue distributing more over the coming months.
