Full grain leather is when the leather’s entire grain is intact, including any markings and blemishes that the animal may have undergone during its life. Natural full grain leather is the highest quality of leather money can buy because it retains the original character of the hide and ages beautifully with all its imperfections taking new forms. It is extremely strong and durable – telling stories of the animal and the wearer over a period of time.
At dmodot, we exclusively use full grain leather. We’re often asked why dmodot shoes cost as much as they do (which isn’t a lot, let’s be honest), but once you understand the material and its supreme quality, you know price is a non-question.
